About the Therapist
Hi, my name is Shawn Segulin and I am a proud husband of 27 years to my wife, Jennifer, and father to my 3 boys. I grew up in Willowick and attended Eastlake North High School. I worked for a little bit before I entered college at The University of Toledo and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Concentration in Kinesiology (study of muscle and movement). Upon completion of my undergrad, I was accepted and completed my post-baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy at Cleveland State University. My experience over the years has taken me through a great variety of settings such as Specialty Hospitals, Rehabilitation Centers, Ventilation Units, Comprehensive Outpatient Centers, Orthopedic Outpatient, Acute Care Services, and Sports Medicine. Over the past 13 years, I have been the Rehabilitation Director for a busy prominent Orthopedic Surgeon who possessed the ability to surgically address all aspects of injuries. That has made me a better therapist by preparation, addressing a variety of problems, and maintaining the compassion of care necessary to achieve proper outcomes.
I have known Shawn for nearly ten years. He is my go to guy whenever I need PT. He is a pleasure to work with. His "PT smarts" go above and beyond just doing the standard exercises. He is great at figuring out the cause of some of the problems I have and then creating a program that is going to help me achieve my goals. He is highly capable and I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their mobility and reduce their pain.
